About Spirit Groove
Spirit Groove is really just what it sounds like. It is when the Spirit and the Groove get together. Better stated, it is The deliberate fusion of The Spirit and The Groove.
When we say Spirit we mean the Holy Spirit as predicted in the prophecy of Joel 2:28-32 and fulfilled in Acts 2:1-41 and throughout the New Testament. The role of the Holy Spirit is to guide, direct, comfort, convict and teach us so that as believers in Christ we can move our lives toward holiness and perfection.
When we say groove we use multiple definitions. First the groove is a musical term which describes rhythms, beats, melodies, or musicians that are blended seamlessly for one purpose, with each accepting their place in the creation of ultimate sound. It is not always something that is concrete but when you hear it you know you're "in the groove."
Groove can also be defined as the place, purpose, and position in life for which you were created. When you find your groove in life you find a place of peace, productivity and prosperity that is phenomenal and unexplainable. You actually are free to do exactly what God created you to do.
Spirit Groove uses music, art, poetry, drama, multimedia, the "Word" and the Internet to simply help you "get in the groove." We are a platform where artists, poets, multimedia designers, musicians and others can express themselves creatively and freely. The bottom line is always what God says and the biblical perspective.
We are starting out having events in night clubs, coffee houses and other places monthly. When we figure out what we are really doing, then we'll probably set up once a week. Since we do not have all of the answers we need your help. We need artists, designers, musicians, poets, marketing experts, accountants, counselors, teachers and an "army of foot soldiers." Send us suggestions, comments and ideas to comments@spiritgroove.com. We'll hit you back.
